Babies
We have a selection of ‘must haves’ to make holidaying with little ones even more enjoyable (and less stressful).
n.b. These are available on a first come first served basis. Some items are chargeable.
- Highchairs
- Cots
- Stair gates
- Potties
- Laundry
- A selection of baby food, nappies and wipes are also available from reception which should tide you over until you get to the supermarket.
In our experience, children are welcome in all restaurants, although it’s advisable to book ahead to ensure you can get a highchair.
Sunshades can be hired on the beaches and our pool has plenty of sun umbrellas.
Children and Teenagers
There really is so much to do with older children and teenagers, below is a selection of ideas that should help get you started:
- Burgau surf school
- Burgau beach has a lifeguard on duty during the day
- Boat trips around the grottos
- Fabulous selection of beautiful beaches
- Water skiing and other water sports (bananas/rings) are all available on Luz beach
- Water parks (click here for the website)
Zoomarine (click here for the website)- Horse riding
- Golf
- Lagos at night – as well as the fabulous restaurants and street markets, there are fantastic street entertainers. It is a hive of activity.
- The sports centre is located on the road out of Burgau (see the map). It has a children’s playground, a pool, three tennis courts and two squash courts. The centre has organised activity mornings, these range from football competitions to table tennis as well as ‘roll up and play’ tennis tournaments on Sundays and some public holidays.
It is worth checking with Miguel or Zezinha for any information on organised excursions, as these are subject to occasional change.
